I've spent the past two Januarys in the rural village of Titram in Haryana, India. In January 2024 my time was spent working with a small team of my peers to report, write, photograph, and video social justice stories.
One of the stories my team worked on reported on migrant labor in brick and rice factories. We were so compelled by these stories that a couple of us went back in January 2025, in order to film a documentary. The documentary Built On Hope is now released on YouTube!

Senior Seminar: Art Exhibition
I am of Sicangu Lakota descent and I have lived several years on the Rosebud reservation and other areas of South Dakota. As an individual who spent years living both on and off the reservation, I have seen what life may look like for Native and non-Native individuals.
Growing up around Native culture, but
not spending my formative years living on the reservation, left me with biases and
perspectives on my own culture. My Senior Thesis is about examining themes of cultural
commodification in media, such as posters, and reframing the imagery to depict visuals
that have significance to my Lakota heritage. Some aspects of the imagery will be
recognizable to both Native and non-Native audiences, but ultimately, the imagery has
been produced through my personal lens.
